Coach Zico consistently follows Thailand's youth football, including Mornthong Wittaya. He said children can become skilled if they have technique, discipline, and the faith of football fans.
On 15 March 2026, Coach Zico (Kiatisuk Senamuang) appeared on a live program with Thairath Sport to analyze the 23-player squad preparing for the final Asian Championship 2027 qualifying match against Turkmenistan on 31 March.
During the live broadcast, he spoke about following youth football, noting that young players who excel must have both technique and good discipline. He added that when drama arises, there must be people helping to keep them on the football path. He also mentioned following Mornthong Wittaya.
"I've followed Thai football since the youth level. Some ask if I don't see certain players, like Mornthong Wittaya, Te Warakorn, or others. We watch to see who will be key players for the country. 1. They must have good technique. 2. They must have discipline. 3. They must have faith from fans. If these happen, and good school players are widely supported by media, we must see if they truly are good. Then, if drama occurs, there must be people helping them stay on track, because producing skilled players requires teachers and parents to help."
Currently, Mornthong Wittaya is competing in the Black Hunter High School Premier League 2026 under the management of Coach Jun Anurak Srikead, as well as in the SPM League competition in Chachoengsao province.
