Clearing Doubts: Why Coach Sakol Still Manages Monthong Witthaya Despite Announcing Departure

Clearing doubts about why Coach Sakol Kliangprasert still manages Monthong Witthaya.

On 16 Mar 2026 GMT+7, after Coach Sakol Kliangprasert announced his departure from Monthong Witthaya School to coach Phutthirangseephibun School in Chachoengsao Province,

there was social media speculation about why Coach Sakol still managed Monthong Witthaya in some matches and tournaments, causing fans to question this matter.

Facebook user Sie Ton Rod Khon Wua, a fan of Monthong Witthaya, clarified that Coach Sakol still had to manage Monthong Witthaya for three more competitions because competition rules did not allow changing the team staff during qualifying rounds and national rounds, which required the original team staff.

"Clearing the doubts about why Coach Sakol still manages Monthong."

"Coach Sakol and the Monthong Witthaya players have three remaining football competitions: M7 Sport U13 (7-a-side national round), Department of Physical Education Cup K. U14, and Futsal SDN-No L U15 (national round)."

"All three competitions have rules prohibiting changes to players and coaches. During the qualifiers, Coach Sakol’s team managed the matches, so the national rounds must continue under Coach Sakol’s team."

"Everyone stepped back for the sake of the children. Coach Sakol agreed to continue managing, and the Monthong Witthaya Alumni Football Club agreed to let the team compete under Monthong Witthaya’s name."

"Putting the children’s best interests first."
