Buriram United needs to win three more matches to claim their 11th Thai League championship.
On 16 March 2026, after Buriram United crushed Chonburi FC 5-0 at home, the Thunder Castle team moved closer to winning their 11th Thai League title and fifth consecutive championship.
Current league standings
1st place: Buriram United, played 23 matches, 59 points
2nd place: Port FC, played 24 matches, 44 points
3rd place: Ratchaburi FC, played 22 matches, 42 points
4th place: True Bangkok United, played 22 matches, 41 points
This means Buriram needs only 8 more points to secure the championship regardless of second-placed Port FC, who are chasing closely, or Ratchaburi FC, who have two fewer matches played.
If Port FC win all their remaining 6 games, they will reach 62 points. If Ratchaburi FC win all 8 of their remaining matches, they will reach 66 points. But if Buriram gains just 8 more points, they will have 67 points.
The Facebook page of club chairman Newin posted a caption with the Thai League standings image: “Counting down to the championship. Guess which match we will secure our 11th star.”
Buriram United's upcoming Thai League fixtures are against Muangthong United (home), Ratchaburi FC (away), Ayutthaya United (home), Phon Kan FC (away), Rayong FC (away), Port FC (away), and finishing with Lamphun Warrior (home).
