On 24 March 2026 at 10:30 a.m. Thailand time, at the press conference room of Xi'an International Football Center, the Chinese Football Association held a press conference ahead of the CFA Team China International Youth Tournament Xi'an.
At this press conference, Thailand's U23 national team was represented by head coach Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul, known as Coach Wang.
Coach Wang Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul said, "Personally, I am pleased to bring the Thailand U23 team to China again after previously having the opportunity to lead them in a friendly match last October."
"This tournament is a good one, featuring many strong teams such as the host China, Vietnam, and North Korea. All three are strong teams, and I believe this will be a valuable experience for us as we prepare this squad for the 2026 Asian Games."
Following this, Thailand's U23 team will resume training today at 3:30 p.m. Thailand time before playing their first match.
