Thai National Team Player Speaks Honestly About Yotsakorn After Withdrawal, Highlights How to Beat Turkmenistan for Asian Cup 2027 Qualification

Thai national team player speaks frankly about Yotsakorn after his withdrawal, pointing out how to beat Turkmenistan and aim for the 2027 Asian Cup qualification round.

On 26 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Sek San Ratri, midfielder from Rayong FC, gave an interview during the Thai national team's training yesterday as they prepared for the 6th match of Group D in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers against the Turkmenistan national team on 31 Mar 2026 GMT+7.

Sek San Ratri spoke about head coach Anthony Hudson's preparations for the Thai team ahead of their crucial match against Turkmenistan, which is the sole opportunity to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup finals. He also mentioned Yotsakorn Burapha, a striker from Chonburi FC, who had to withdraw due to a knee injury sustained during training camp, with Benjamin Davis from Uthai Thani FC called up as his replacement.

Sek San Ratri explained the team's approach to securing a win: "We are currently learning tactics to face Turkmenistan. We need to add more attacking players inside the penalty area to create scoring opportunities."

"Turkmenistan have tall, strong players and are a tough team, but we will overcome that challenge."

"I feel sorry for Yotsakorn, who had the chance but got injured. I want to encourage him to keep fighting. The coach hasn't finalized tactics yet, but I am currently playing on the wing."

"Playing against Turkmenistan at home means we'll have many supporters. We will strive for victory and invite all Thai fans and people to come cheer us on. We will do our best to win."

The 6th matchday of Group D in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers will feature Thailand against Turkmenistan at Rajamangala National Stadium on 31 Mar 2026 GMT+7 at 19:30.
