Ben Davis speaks rapid Thai, reveals what he was doing when called up by the Thailand national team, highlights two key advantages (video).

On 26 March 2026 at 17:00 GMT+7, at BGPU Training Center 3 in Pathum Thani Province, the Thailand men's national football team continued training to prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifying round, Group D, matchday 6 against Turkmenistan at Rajamangala Stadium on 31 March 2026.

During this training, Anthony Hudson, head coach of the Thailand senior national team, welcomed Benjamin Davis, midfielder from Uthai Thani FC, who joined the team for the first time after being called up to replace injured Yotsakorn Burapha and unfit Teerasil Dangda. The session included a realistic 11-vs-11 simulation lasting one hour.

Before training, Benjamin Davis, midfielder from Uthai Thani FC, said, "I feel happy to be back training and able to help the Thailand national team. I’m not injured and I’m in good fitness."

"The match against Turkmenistan may have some pressure, but I think we can compete. The weather in Thailand might be hot, which I believe is an advantage for the Thailand national team."

"(What I was doing when called up to the national team) I had been training with my club in Uthai Thani for two days before receiving the call-up. When I found out I would be joining the national team, I was driving to training with my club. I felt excited when I heard the news."

"Playing at home gives us a big advantage because the fans will come to support us. Thanks to the fans for their support—I hope many come to cheer at the stadium. I practiced speaking Thai so I decided to respond to this interview in Thai."
