Official: Surasak Phanjaroenworakul Appointed New Minister of Tourism and Sports in Anutin Government 2

Surasak Phanjaroenworakul has been appointed as the new Minister of Tourism and Sports in the Anutin Charnvirakul 2 government.

On 31 March 2026, Surasak Phanjaroenworakul, a member of the management team of the 'Warriors of Ayodhya' Ayutthaya United in the BYD SEALION 6 League One or Thai League 1, officially took office as the new Minister of Tourism and Sports in the Anutin Charnvirakul 2 government.

The Royal Gazette published the royal decree appointing ministers for the Anutin 2 government, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, on 31 March 2026. Surasak Phanjaroenworakul, who previously served as Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in the first Anutin government, was named in the appointment.

Surasak Phanjaroenworakul is a key figure in the 'Warriors of Ayodhya' Ayutthaya United team, having been involved with the professional football club since its time in Thai League 3, before advancing to Thai League 2 and now competing in Thai League 1 this season.

Meanwhile, the 'Warriors of Ayodhya' Ayutthaya United currently stand 8th in the league with 32 points from 25 matches, 10 points clear of the relegation zone. The team has a good chance of avoiding relegation with five matches remaining in the 2025-26 season.
