On 14 Apr 2026 GMT+7, a heartbreaking incident occurred when an intoxicated pickup truck driver crossed into the opposite lane and struck four youth football players from Maha Thai Suksa Thabom School, who later died in Chiang Khan District, Loei Province. Netizens expressed deep condolences over the tragedy.
Maha Thai Suksa Thabom School posted a statement on Facebook saying:
"The administrators, teachers, and staff of Maha Thai Suksa Thabom School mourn and express their deepest condolences to the families of our alumni who were lost in the incident on Monday, 13 Apr 2026 GMT+7."
