For the first time in Thailand, AIS is advancing the development of physical education teachers nationwide by launching the ‘G’ Diploma to build a foundation for football coaches supporting local schools.
AIS Sport Academy, in collaboration with the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, launched the FA Thailand ‘G’ Diploma coaching course held from 20–25 April 2026 at the Football Potential Development Center, Bangkokthonburi University. Under the concept “Elevating Physical Education Teachers to the First Step of Coaching,” the program aims to establish a crucial foundation for physical education teachers nationwide, especially in remote areas, to access football coaching knowledge aligned with AFC and FIFA standards.
This training marks the “first time in Thailand” that the ‘G’ Diploma course has been formally opened to physical education teachers, reflecting a clear advancement of their role toward football coaching and serving as the starting point for developing grassroots football personnel.
The project focuses on systematically transferring youth coaching skills and offers physical education teachers from diverse regions the opportunity to apply this knowledge to sustainably develop students and their local communities.
A highlight of the program is participation from teachers in various provinces and remote areas, such as Mr. Pakawat Wongsrikaew from Khok Ngaan School, Manjakiri District, Khon Kaen Province; Mr. Kitchtipoom Thonthongdaeng from Phop Phra District, Tak Province; and “Teacher Pond,” Mr. Pakawat Wongsrikaew of Khok Ngaan Pittayasarn School, Nangam Subdistrict, Manjakiri District, Khon Kaen Province, who is also a professional footballer with Khon Kaen Mordindang Club. Their involvement reflects equitable access to development opportunities.
For this training, AIS Sport Academy also provided accommodation free of charge throughout the course to enable participants to fully develop their potential, underscoring AIS’s commitment to sustainably driving Thai football forward.
A total of 30 participants will learn through a curriculum delivered by FA Thailand experts certified under AFC and FIFA standards and will receive official certificates upon completion, marking an important step toward a structured football coaching career in the future.
