
Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom presented the awards to conclude the Southern GLO Cup 2026 – Plukpanya Municipality U13 and Peiraya U15 claimed the championships and the GLO STAR lineup was unveiled.
The eight-a-side youth football championship of Thailand, GLO Cup 2026 Southern regional qualifiers, officially concluded on 26 April 2026 in Songkhla Province. Representatives from the region in the under-13 and under-15 age groups, four teams each, as well as the southern GLO STAR players, were finalized.
The final day was lively and spirited, with Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom, Director of the Government Lottery Office, honored as the award ceremony's chairperson. Air Commodore Piyapong Piw-on, Chairman of the organizing committee, also joined to congratulate the youth who performed exceptionally well.
In the under-13 final, Plukpanya Municipality under royal patronage narrowly defeated Kampee Wittaya School 1-0 to claim the southern championship. Meanwhile, in the under-15 category, Peiraya x Bohmad Sport Academy beat Yala Provincial Sports School 2-0 to secure the title.
The four teams advancing to the semifinals in each age group earned the right to represent the southern region in the national championship round. In the U13 category, the teams were:

Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom, Director of the Government Lottery Office, commented on the competition’s overall picture: "The GLO Cup is not just a football competition platform, but a key mission of the Government Lottery Office to give back to society. Especially by providing Thai youth with opportunities to showcase their potential creatively through sports, which is a fundamental foundation for long-term human and social development.”

Meanwhile, the GLO STAR project, a major highlight of the event, selected 11 youth players from the southern zone to advance to the national selection round, divided as follows:

The GLO STAR project will conduct player selection across all seven regions nationwide before the national championship. It will narrow down to 15 players per age group for the GLO STAR Camp, and then select the final three per group to receive a special opportunity to train in Japan for six months.
The next qualifying round of GLO Cup 2026, the third venue, will be held in the Eastern zone at Chachoengsao Province from 5 to 10 May 2026, using the Chachoengsao Provincial Stadium for U13 and Chachoengsao Municipal Stadium for U15 categories to find representatives advancing to the national championship.
