Alexandre Gama officially announced his resignation as head coach of "Singha Chao Tha" Port FC through Facebook and Instagram last night.
Gama took over the role during the 2025/26 preseason, managing the team in 22 Thai League matches with 12 wins, 4 draws, and 6 losses. Later, the Brazilian coach faced health problems requiring treatment, leading the club to appoint Sarawut Tripan, a pro-license coach, as interim head coach. Recently, Gama posted his official farewell to Port FC.
"Today, I would like to say goodbye to Port FC and close a very special chapter in my career.
"During these 8 months as head coach, I have been deeply honored to work with an outstanding group of players, a dedicated professional staff, and fans who love the club wholeheartedly. It has been an intense journey filled with learning, challenges, and growth both professionally and personally."
"I am very grateful to the club president for trusting my work and to everyone involved daily—from the players, coaching staff, support team, to the management."
"I need to step back for personal reasons to focus on important matters off the field. Those issues have now been resolved, and I feel ready to return to work."
"My future is uncertain at this moment, but I am exploring new possibilities and projects."
"I will cherish the pride and wonderful memories of everything we built together. Port FC will always hold a special place in my heart."
Thank you very much for everything."
