"Dugall" speaks candidly about Buriram, revealing two key hopes before facing Selangor to defend the Shopee Cup title,

On Tuesday, 26 May 2026 GMT+7, a pre-match press conference was held with defending champions Buriram United, attended by Mark Jackson and Kenneth Dugall.
Kenneth Dugall spoke about meeting Selangor FC: "Facing Selangor FC just last week was very beneficial because it allowed us to get to know their players and playing style."
"I believe that the group stage encounter doesn't tell the full story because we had a coaching change and altered our playing style. We can disregard the first match, but winning last week gave us very good momentum," he added.
Kenneth Dugall responded to a reporter's question on confidence for tomorrow's game: "I am very confident. It's our expectation to win this trophy. We know it won't be easy, but this club always expects to win championships, and that is the goal we must achieve tomorrow."
When asked about expectations for tomorrow's match, Dugall said, "My expectation is to lift this trophy. We are confident going into the final, especially since we have a one-goal advantage. However, looking back at the semifinals, winning the first leg doesn't always guarantee an advantage, so we must focus solely on winning."
Regarding last year's final, Kenneth Dugall said, "I don't want us to have to go through such a tense situation again. Last year's final was very nerve-wracking. I think our last-minute goal then was the best I've ever seen. The semifinal against Johor Darul Ta'zim was also a tough battle. Those experiences will help us move forward, but for tomorrow, we hope to avoid a difficult and stressful situation."
