Looking back, in the first leg of the Shopee Cup 2025-26 final, the “Thunder Castle” Buriram United edged a 1-0 victory over Selangor FC thanks to Suphanat Muanta’s winning goal in the 24th minute. Today, the second leg final will kick off at 19:00 at Buriram Stadium in Buriram province.
1. Win by any score — Buriram United will immediately claim the championship with a better aggregate score over two legs.
2. Draw by any score — this is enough for Buriram United to win the championship outright with a 2-leg aggregate of 1-0 (if 0-0 draw) or better, based on their first-leg victory.
3. If they lose in 90 minutes: losing by one goal (0-1) will tie the aggregate at 1-1, requiring 30 minutes of extra time, and if still tied, a penalty shootout to decide the winner. However, if they lose by two or more goals (0-2, 1-3), Selangor FC will overturn the result to win the championship with a better aggregate score.
