"Adisorn" nearly missed coming, reveals behind-the-scenes before joining the Thai national team camp, speaks candidly about one person.
On 30 May 2026 at 13:00 GMT+7, at Novotel Future Park Rangsit Hotel, the Thai men's national football team reported for duty to prepare for friendly matches scheduled during the FIFA Day calendar in June.
This reporting session was led by head coach Anthony Hudson, along with players such as Teerasil Dangda, Sarach Yooyen, and Suphanan Burirat. Four players were absent due to commitments: Jude Bellingham, Iklas Sanhran, Narubodin Weerawatnodom, and Theeraphat Pruethong, who are set to join on 1 June 2026.
Adisorn Promrak, a Thai national team defender absent for three years since the European friendlies against Georgia and Estonia under Mano Polking, revealed the story behind joining this camp: "I feel very happy and excited as always when selected for the national team. It's great to meet both senior and junior teammates, some of whom I have never met before."
"Because I haven't been on the national team for quite some time, this time feels like absorbing the atmosphere of the Thai national team. My goal is to be determined, follow the coach's tactics, listen closely, adapt to my teammates' styles to fit the team as best as possible, perform well, and train hard every day."
"A key moment was probably the AFC games against Gamba Osaka, where I played four matches. That was a turning point—coincidence and good luck gave me the chance, and I am quite satisfied with my performance. Facing Japanese teams requires more defensive focus than others. When on the field, I concentrate hard to avoid mistakes."
"I've always said I wanted to return to the national team but never thought I would get the chance. At Ratchaburi, Jonathan Khemdee played alongside foreigners, so I didn't expect it. But the timing was right—Jonathan got injured along with the foreigners, so I had the opportunity and delivered results."
"It was a big surprise. At that time, I was home with my family, having already been on a beach trip. When I got the call-up, I was shocked and didn't expect it. I thank the coach for the opportunity. I was in Krabi, and as soon as I got the news, I took a boat back to Hat Yai and went straight to training. The opportunity arrived; I can travel anytime later."
"Since that day until now, I have worked to be in my best physical condition. I invited friends from Songkhla to play football with others. I think it's good. I ask Thai fans to follow the national team’s matches on 5 and 9 June. We will do our best."
