An analysis of the 23-man squads of the "Thai National Football Team," both senior and under-23, ahead of the upcoming FIFA Day friendly matches.
On 1 Jun 2026 GMT+7, an analysis was conducted on the 23-man "War Elephants" squads of the Thai national football team, including the senior and under-23 teams, prior to the FIFA Day friendly matches. This was featured on the "Clear the Sidelines" program by Thairath Sport, hosted by Worapat Arunpakdee, with football expert "Bubble" Yingrak Raksuwan and former Thai national striker "Leesaw" Theerathep Winothai sharing their insights.
Bubble Yingrak Raksuwan stated, “The current era of Thai national football cannot introduce new players as easily as before. Back then, no one in ASEAN could match us, but now the situation has changed. It depends on our goals and how management is handled.”
Meanwhile, Theerathep Winothai said, “We need to look ahead to the future. Next year, the Thai League may allow up to 10 foreign players registered without nationality restrictions. The senior players will have fewer opportunities to play, so the U23 squad must be promoted more. This will allow us to see their form and integrate them more.”
