Theerapat Opens Up After First Call-Up to Thailand National Team Narubodin Shares Goals Ahead of Two Friendly Matches

Theerapat Prueathong opens up after being called up to the senior Thailand national team for the first time, while Narubodin Weerawatnodom shares his goals ahead of two FIFA Day friendly matches.

On 2 June 2026 at 17:00, at BGTC 1 training ground in Pathum Thani province, the Thailand men's national football team continued training to prepare for friendly matches scheduled under the FIFA Day calendar in June. This session lasted about 1 hour and 30 minutes, focusing on team cohesion and collective play.

Before training, Theerapat Prueathong, an attacker from Consadole Sapporo, said, "I'm happy to be selected for the senior Thailand national team camp, and this is my first time. The recent training helped me recover physically. I need to adapt to the climate and schedule. My physical condition is improving steadily."

"I haven't had much chance to talk with Coach Hudson yet, but I previously worked with a coach at BG, so I am trying to learn from what he offers us. Going to Japan helped me develop myself, improving in many areas. Right now, I see this as a great opportunity, especially as the club is testing players. It's beneficial for me personally."

"Japanese football is fast-paced, so I have to adapt quickly. If I'm slower than them, I can't keep up. Of course, extending my contract for another year means the competition will be tougher because of promotion and relegation battles. I have to prove I belong there. It's not too difficult to adjust, especially with senior Supachok Sarachat helping me off the field. I'll give my best in these two games, and if I get a chance to play, I'll strive to prove myself."

Meanwhile, Narubodin Weerawatnodom, right back from Buriram United, said, "I just joined the team yesterday. Everyone is excited to be part of the Thailand national team this time. The team atmosphere is warm, with both new and experienced players welcoming each other. Everyone is eager and focused on Coach Hudson's tactics."

"My physical condition is good, as I played 30 minutes in the last match and was fully fit. Coach Hudson has told us not to treat these games as mere friendlies since FIFA ranking points are at stake. Kuwait is an Arab team, so we need to focus especially on the first game, then look ahead to the match against China."

"Kuwait's Arab style involves tactics and individual skills; tactics are crucial when facing technically skilled players. With good tactics, we can secure victory. We ask Thai fans to come and support us on 5 June. We will give our all and aim to win."

Thailand's national team match schedule in June is as follows:
