Clear goals: Manuel Tom Bihr reveals Thailand's aim before the intense clash with China's national team in the FIFA Day football friendly.
On 7 June 2026 at Jinzhou Sport Training Center, People's Republic of China, Thailand's men's national football team held their first training session since arriving in China the previous evening, preparing for the FIFA Day friendly match against China.
During the training, head coach Anthony Hudson led the Thai team with a focus on acclimatizing to the weather conditions and familiarizing themselves with the ball. The session lasted one hour under hot and humid weather with light rain.
Thailand’s defender Manuel Tom Bihr said, "My body still feels somewhat fatigued from the previous match. Today, I’ll see how much better I can feel. China is definitely a stronger team than Kuwait. We've faced them several times before, but we will give our best. The match result is unpredictable."
"I wasn’t present when we last faced China, but I will do my utmost now. The weather conditions are similar to what we’ve played in before. I hope Thai fans in China come to support us. We will give everything and aim to get the result we want."
Manuel Tom Bihr and the "War Elephants," Thailand's national team, will next face China’s national team on 9 June 2026 at Jinzhou Sport Center Stadium, kicking off at 18:35 Thai time. The match will be broadcast live on Thairath TV Channel 32 and online at www.thairath.co.th/tv/live.
