Thailand's U19 national team gave their all but lost to Australia, missing out on the U19 ASEAN Football Championship 2026 title.

On 13 June 2026 at 20:15 GMT+7, at Sumatra Utara Main Stadium, the final of the ASEAN U19 Football Championship took place, with Thailand's U19 national team facing Australia.

In the semifinals, Thailand defeated Cambodia 4-0, while Australia narrowly beat host Indonesia 1-0. For this match, Coach Bo Jakrapan Panpi set up a forward trio of Siwakorn Pornsan, Peerada Lasawat, and Nattakitt Phosi, with team captain Pitchaya Kongsri as the playmaker.

The Thailand U19 team will return immediately, arriving at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on 14 June 2026 at 23:05 GMT+7. Afterwards, the coaching staff will report to the Football Association of Thailand and hold a meeting to plan for the next tournament—the AFC U20 Championship qualifiers, to be held in Chonburi province from 31 August to 6 September 2026.
