Suankularb Launches New Football Team Era, Systematically Developing Towards Excellence and Championship

Suankularb Wittayalai School officially launched its new-era football team, advancing a systematic football development program aimed at achieving excellence and championship.

Suankularb Wittayalai School held an official launch ceremony for its 2026 football team under the "Suankularb Wittayalai Football Development Project," established to raise the standard of football athlete development systematically. This includes sports skills, physical fitness, discipline, responsibility, and qualities of good athletes. The goal is to achieve football excellence while developing youth into quality members of society.

The event was attended by Dr. Poomsit Sukonthawong, the school's director and president of the Suankularb Wittayalai Football Club; Mr. Jiam Saowapa, chairman of the Suankularb Wittayalai Foundation; Mr. Vichai Tiyawongmana, a board member of the Suankularb Wittayalai Parents and Teachers Association under royal patronage; Mr. Pritsadee Chatvisuta, vice president of the Suankularb Wittayalai Alumni Association under royal patronage; along with school administrators, faculty, alumni, parents, and students.

The event introduced the new coaching staff, consisting of professionals with national and professional level experience, led by Colonel Watcharakorn Antakhamphu (Suankularb alumnus, batch 111), who serves as head coach and technical director. He holds the AFC “A” Coaching Certificate and is a former assistant coach for Thailand’s youth national teams, supported by experienced coaches for each age group with long-standing involvement in Thai football.

The Suankularb Wittayalai Football Development Project focuses on a comprehensive athlete development system, including training based on sports science, skill, technique, and tactical advancement, medical care and physical therapy, as well as fostering discipline, responsibility, and athlete spirit. The aim is to maintain consistent standards across all age groups and sustainably progress to higher-level competition.

A key highlight of the event was the ceremony where representatives of the 88th batch of Suankularb Wittayalai alumni donated funds to support the football development project. This demonstrated strong alumni solidarity in supporting and providing opportunities for new athletes, reflecting a deep bond and collaboration within the Suankularb alumni network in developing the school and the nation’s youth.

Suankularb Wittayalai School believes football is not only a competition for victory but also a vital tool for youth development, instilling discipline, determination, teamwork, and leadership—qualities essential for future life.

This football team launch marks a significant step for Suankularb Wittayalai School in laying a concrete foundation for football development, aiming to produce quality athletes, enhance the institution’s reputation, and become a model for school-level football development in Thailand’s future.

The team will participate in the "2026 Department of Physical Education Daily News Cup" football competition for under-18 athletes, which begins on 16 June 2026.
