
Theerathon Bunmathan was named Best Male Player of the Year, while Suphanan Burirat, right back for Port FC, earned the Most Valuable Player award, and Sasom Pobprasert was recognized as Coach of the Year for the Thai League 2025-26 season.
On 7 Jul 2026 GMT+7, the Football Association of Thailand held the ninth annual FA Thailand Awards 2025-26 ceremony to honor outstanding athletes and football personnel for their achievements in the 2025/26 season. The event took place in Pavilion A, 8th floor, The Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel, Bangkok.
The event was warm and lively, led by Madam Pang Nualphan Lamsam, president of the association, along with vice presidents, board members, and distinguished guests. Among the attendees were Mr. Surasak Phanjaroenworakul, Minister of Tourism and Sports; Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Deputy Minister of Transport; Assoc. Prof. Pimon Srivikorn, Chairman of the Olympic Committee of Thailand under Royal Patronage, and committee members; Mr. Prodarn Samanmit, Deputy Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand; Mr. Thanukiat Chanchum, Manager of the National Sports Development Fund; association sponsors; football personnel; fans; and media representatives.
This year, awards were presented in a total of 30 categories as follows:
1. Grassroots of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization
The Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization's main project promotes coach education and grassroots football activities. They conduct continuous 'G' Diploma coach training and have an MOU with the association to develop grassroots football, providing free football skill training for children aged 6-12 across all districts in Phuket, involving over 1,900 players and more than 380 coaches.
2. Best Developing Club 2025/26
Awarded to: Ratchaburi FC
Ratchaburi FC finished 3rd in the Thai League, their best-ever position, and reached the AFC Champions League Two quarterfinals last season. The club holds an AFC club licensing and collaborates well with the association. They hosted the 2026 FIFA Women's Series at Ratchaburi Stadium, attracted 68,000 spectators during the Thai League season (up from 58,724 the previous season), and have 270,000 Facebook followers.
3. Best Ground (Stadium) 2025/26
Awarded to: Chang Arena (Buriram United)
Chang Arena, home of Buriram United, maintained excellent pitch conditions throughout the season, with proper upkeep for both domestic and international matches. The stadium meets competition standards, including efficient drainage capable of handling heavy rain quickly.
4. Referee of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Torpong Somsing, FIFA Elite referee
Torpong Somsing, a FIFA Elite referee, was selected for key officiating duties in both club and national matches domestically and internationally. He served as AVAR in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025/26 knockout round of 16, was the main referee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 qualifiers, and officiated the finals of the Muang Thai Cup and Chang FA Cup 2025/26.
5. Futsal Referee of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Panadda Kotsenapatra, FIFA Elite futsal referee
Panadda Kotsenapatra, a FIFA Elite futsal referee, delivered impressive performances at the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup in the Philippines and consistently maintained high officiating standards.
6. National Beach Soccer Player of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Masayuki Yoshida (Missouri Pattaya Beach Soccer Club)
Masayuki Yoshida, a Thai national beach soccer player from Missouri Pattaya Beach Soccer Club, excelled over the past year. He helped his team finish third in the 2025 Thailand Beach Soccer Championship, led the Thai national team to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Asian Beach Soccer Championship finishing fifth overall, and scored one goal at the 2026 Asian Beach Games.
7. Men's Futsal Player of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Iticha Praphan (Port Futsal ASM Club)
Iticha Praphan, captain and defender of the Thai national futsal team from Port Futsal ASM, had a standout season leading his club to the 2025 Thai Futsal League runner-up finish, scoring 11 league goals. In the 2025 SEA Games, he scored once to help secure a silver medal. He also scored a goal in the 2026 Asian Championship and led Thailand to win the 2026 ASEAN Championship, earning the tournament MVP award.
8. Women's Futsal Player of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Darika Piyapailoon (Msp FC, Indonesia Women's Futsal League)
Darika Piyapailoon, captain and striker of the Thai women's national futsal team and player for Msp FC in Indonesia, performed outstandingly by helping Thailand qualify for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup for the first time. She scored 3 goals in the 2025 SEA Games and 3 goals in the 2026 ASEAN Championship, where Thailand won the title and she was named tournament MVP.
9. Inspiring Football Medical Club of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Lamphun Warrior FC
Lamphun Warrior FC has continuously developed its medical department, using almost entirely Thai medical staff. They emphasize medical standards following the Football Association of Thailand's guidelines, possess equipment for athlete recovery, provide ongoing staff development, and cooperate closely with the association.
10. Thai League 3 Coach of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Wasan Sangpan, head coach of Nara United
Wasan Sangpan led Nara United to win the Thai League 3 Southern Zone, achieving 14 wins, 1 draw, and 3 losses. He guided the team to the Champions League round as runner-up of Group C and to the Thai League 3 national championship final.
They became Thai League 3 champions this season.
11. Thai League 3 Top Goal Scorer 2025/26
Awarded to: Lucas Grossi, forward for Nara United, who scored 21 goals.
12. Thai League 3 Most Valuable Player 2025/26
Awarded to: Lucas Grossi, forward for Nara United.
Lucas Grossi helped Nara United win the Thai League 3 Southern Zone and the overall Thai League 3 championship. He played 19 matches totaling 1,599 minutes, scored 21 goals, and was named Player of the Match eight times.
13. Thai League 2 Coach of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Anon Bandasak, head coach of Rasisalai United.
Anon Bandasak guided Rasisalai United to the Thai League 2 championship, earning promotion to Thai League 1 just one year after advancing from Thai League 3. The team recorded 20 wins, 11 draws, and 3 losses, amassing 71 points—11 points ahead of second place.
14. Thai League 2 Top Goal Scorer 2025/26
Awarded to: Arthit Butjinda, forward for Khon Kaen United, with 18 goals.
15. Thai League 2 Most Valuable Player 2025/26
Awarded to: Marlon da Silva, defender for Pattani FC.
Marlon da Silva was a key foreign player for Pattani FC, helping them win the Thai League 2 playoff and secure immediate promotion to Thai League 1 after last year's advancement from Thai League 3. He played 37 matches, recorded 7 clean sheets, scored 11 goals, provided 2 assists, and earned Player of the Match six times.
16. Thai League Coach of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Sasom Pobprasert, head coach of PT Prachuap FC.
Sasom Pobprasert managed PT Prachuap FC throughout the season, playing a vital role in tactical planning and team management. He led the team to 6th place in the Thai League with 11 wins, 12 draws, and 7 losses, totaling 45 points, and guided them to the Chang FA Cup final.

Awarded to: Guilherme Bissoli, forward for Buriram United, with 23 goals.

Kaka Mendes distinguished himself throughout the season, playing 27 Thai League matches totaling 2,174 minutes, scoring 8 goals and providing 14 assists. He was named Player of the Match six times, helping Port FC achieve their best-ever finish as league runner-up and win the Muang Thai Cup 2025/26.

Awarded to: Suphanan Burirat, defender for Port FC.
Suphanan Burirat, right back for Port FC, played 2,700 minutes in the Thai League and appeared in 37 matches across all competitions, scoring 8 goals and assisting 8 times. He helped Port FC finish as league runner-up—its best-ever finish—and win the Muang Thai Cup 2025/26.

Awarded to: Janista Jinantaya, forward for Bangkok, scoring 16 goals.
24. Thai Women's League Most Valuable Player 2025/26
Awarded to: Hallie Long, defender for BGC-Bandit Asia.
Hallie Long, a defender for the Philippines women's national team and BGC-Bandit Asia, played 11 matches (10 starts, 1 substitute) totaling 944 minutes in the 2026 Wings Thai Women's League 1. Awarded to: Panitta Jeeratanaphiboon, defender for the Thailand women's national team.
Panitta Jeeratanaphiboon scored a beautiful goal against Iraq during the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers. Her goal received 54.1% of fan votes, surpassing four other nominees.
28. Women's Player of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Saowalak Pengngam, forward for Taichung Blue Whale and the Thailand women's national team.
Saowalak Pengngam, a forward for Taichung Blue Whale in the Mulan Football League, Chinese Taipei's top league, had an excellent season, scoring 17 goals to win the league's top scorer award for the second consecutive year—making her the first foreign female player to achieve this. In her debut season, she scored 9 goals. For the national team, she scored 4 goals in the 2026 Asian Cup qualifiers and 1 goal in the 2025 SEA Games.
29. Men's Player of the Year 2025/26
Awarded to: Theerathon Bunmathan, midfielder for Buriram United and the Thailand national team.
Theerathon Bunmathan played 47 matches across all competitions last season, scoring 2 goals and providing 15 assists. He helped Buriram United win the Thai League, FA Cup, and ASEAN Club Championship. Internationally, he appeared in 3 matches for Thailand, scoring 1 goal and assisting 2, helping the team qualify for the Asian Cup finals.

Awarded to: Thawatchai Sajakul.
Known as 'Big Hoy', Thawatchai Sajakul (also Vanatthana Sajakul) is a historic figure in Thai football who inspired nationwide passion for the sport. As manager of the Thailand national team in the 1990s, he led the 'Dream Team' era, creating a beloved team that brought hope and pride to Thailand by winning the SEA Games, King's Cup, and memorably defeating South Korea 2-1 in the 1998 Asian Games quarterfinals.
