International Youth Football Clash Explodes! “JINTAN U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2026” Featuring 16 Teams from 3 Countries

An international youth football showdown explodes with the “JINTAN U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2026,” featuring 16 teams from three countries competing on the field.

Sixteen youth teams under 14 years old from Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia are set to compete in the international youth football tournament “JINTAN U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2026,” held from 23 to 26 July at the football field of Verso International School.

The international youth football competition for under-14 players, the “JINTAN U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament 2026,” is scheduled from 23 to 26 July 2026 at the Verso International School football fields in Samut Prakan province, featuring two FIFA-standard sized pitches.

The event aims to help under-14 footballers from ASEAN countries and Japan develop their skills and gain international experience by competing against foreign opponents, enhancing their abilities and potential to progress to international football stages.

Additionally, the tournament seeks to create opportunities for talented youths to advance their development, promote international friendship, and instill a global athlete’s vision and mindset.

It is believed that this platform will inspire young players to learn from competition, challenge their limits, grow as athletes and individuals, and move forward as the next generation of rising football stars.

A total of 16 top youth football teams from three countries—Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia—will showcase their talents in this competition.

This tournament began in 2014, driven continuously by Masao Kiba, a former J.League professional footballer and current J.League ambassador for the Asia region, aiming to develop Thai youth football. This led to a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Football Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage (FAT) and the Japan Dream Football Association (JDFA).

The 2026 tournament marks the 9th edition, organized by the U-14 ASEAN Dream Football Tournament Organizing Committee, with Morishita JINTAN Co., Ltd. (Japan) as the main sponsor.

A total of 16 teams from three countries are participating in this competition.

Eleven teams represent Thailand, including four from educational institutions: Assumption United, Assumption College Sriracha, Debsirin School, and Bangkok Christian College.

The other seven teams from Thailand are top football clubs: Port FC, Thakham Chonburi FC, Muangthong United, Chiangrai United, Rajnavy FC, Prime FC, and Ratchaburi FC.

Japan is represented by four teams: Albirex Niigata, Kamatamare Sanuki, Shiga Select, and Ehime FC; while Malaysia has one team, Johor Darul Ta’zim FC.

In the first round, the 16 teams are divided into four groups of four, playing round-robin matches within each group. The top two teams in each group advance to the quarterfinals, then semifinals, and the final to determine the 2026 champion. Teams finishing third and fourth in their groups will compete in placement matches to determine final rankings, all governed by rules set by the organizers and referencing the Football Association of Thailand's regulations. A key award in the tournament is the ASEAN Dream Player Award, which will select two outstanding players to receive certificates and the opportunity to participate in a short-term football training program in Japan, including training with youth teams affiliated with J.League Academy clubs.

The final match will take place on Sunday, 26 July 2026, from 13:00 to 14:10 at the Verso International School football field, followed by the closing ceremony and award presentation. Last year’s champion was Buriram United.
