The GLO Cup 2026 THE FINAL concluded with great grandeur! Phra Mae Marie Sathorn U13 and Pathumkongka U15 won the Thailand championships, with 30 GLO STAR players entering the camp competing for football training opportunities in Japan.
The 8-a-side youth football national championship, GLO Cup 2026 THE FINAL, organized by the Government Lottery Office in collaboration with the Thai Football Development Foundation, concluded grandly at Suphachalasai Stadium on 2 Aug 2026 GMT+7.
At the closing ceremony, Mr. Lawaron Saengsanit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Chairman of the Government Lottery Office, was honored along with Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom, Director of the Government Lottery Office, and Air Force Commander Piyapong Piwaon, Chairman of the Thai Football Development Foundation. Thai national footballers Teerasil Dangda and Chanathip Songkrasin also attended to present awards and congratulate athletes and teams for their impressive performances throughout the competition.
Phra Mae Marie Sathorn Claims First Thailand U13 Championship
In the under-13 category, Phra Mae Marie Sathorn, representing Bangkok and the metropolitan area, delivered outstanding performance, advancing to the final after winning a penalty shootout 3-2 against Pranburi Football Academy following a 1-1 draw in regular time.
In the final, Phra Mae Marie Sathorn narrowly defeated Pathumkongka School 1-0 to claim their first Thailand GLO Cup 2026 THE FINAL U13 title. Meanwhile, BCC FC secured third place by beating Pranburi Football Academy 2-0.
Pathumkongka Makes History with U15 Championship
In the under-15 category, Pathumkongka School delivered an excellent performance, reaching the finals in both U13 and U15 categories before ultimately winning the U15 Thailand championship.
In the semifinals, Pathumkongka defeated BEC Nongkhee FC 3-1, then went on to beat Kantrarom School 2-0 in the final to capture their first GLO Cup 2026 THE FINAL U15 title.
For third place, Assumption United, last year’s champions, faced BEC Nongkhee FC in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in regular time. Assumption United won 3-2 to take third place.
Beyond on-field success, the GLO Cup 2026 THE FINAL served as a key platform to identify talented youth players for the GLO STAR 2026 project. Selected players entered the GLO STAR Camp for training and development, from which six players—three from each age group—will be chosen to train for six months with Avispa Fukuoka Football Club in Japan. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel Noon Sansanakom, Director of the Government Lottery Office, said GLO Cup 2026 demonstrated the potential of youth from every region of Thailand.
