Hudson Reveals 3 Issues in Match Against the Philippines, Anticipates Game Plan vs. Myanmar in ASEAN Cup 2026

"Anthony Hudson" revealed three problems in the match against the Philippines and anticipates the gameplay against Myanmar in the group stage of the "ASEAN Cup 2026", match 4.

On 5 August 2026, the latest update on the "War Elephants," Thailand’s men's national football team, is that they have safely returned to Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Thailand, after completing their mission in the ASEAN Cup 2026 group stage, Group B, match 3 against the Philippines. In that match, Thailand won 1-0 away, with the winning goal scored by Waris Chuthong, giving the team a full 9 points from their first three games. They are preparing to face Myanmar next on 8 August.

Upon arrival, head coach Anthony Hudson said, "The most important thing right now is to allow the players to recover physically because traveling to the Philippines was difficult. We arrived there at 4 a.m., had only one day to train, and the pitch conditions were tough, as we all saw. Now that we are back in Thailand, we must restore the players' fitness to be fully ready for the game against Myanmar."

"Our main goal initially is to focus on one game at a time, week by week. I have confidence in many players as everyone has shown their abilities well. Even the substitutes who played against the Philippines performed excellently. I'm very confident based on the performances in the past three matches."

"For me, it’s important to create an exciting, entertaining style of football that brings fans back to support us again. My role is to get the fans to return. I warmly invite all fans again. Everyone is a key force that uplifts and encourages the players. I hope this Saturday will be a special night for all Thai fans. Please come and cheer for us."

After this, the Thai national team will rest for one day and return to training at BGTC 3 on 6 August 2026 to prepare for their next match in the ASEAN Cup 2026 group stage, Group B, match 4, against Myanmar at Rajamangala National Stadium on 8 August 2026, kicking off at 20:00 Thai time.
