First match focuses on "Narubodin" revealing two key factors for Thailand's national team aiming to beat Singapore in the 2026 ASEAN Cup semifinals.
On 13 August 2026 at 13:45, at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, the Thailand men's national football team gathered to prepare for departure to Singapore to compete in the first leg of the 2026 ASEAN Championship semifinal against Singapore on the same day.
Thailand finished as champions of Group B and will face Singapore, runners-up of Group A, in the semifinals.
Narubodin Veerawatnodom, Thailand's right back, revealed two factors for aiming to win against Singapore in the first match: "After the game with Myanmar, we had a reasonable rest period. I believe everyone in every position is ready to face Singapore in this match."
"Singapore has many players we know well because several play in the Thai League. We understand their strengths and weaknesses. Importantly, since the first leg is away, we must focus on the result and be very thorough in this first game."
"We have the advantage of playing away first. The second match will be at home with fans supporting us. This is a key advantage over our opponents. At minimum, we must secure a good result. Away games are always tough, but a victory would be even better."
"I ask fans, whether watching on TV or attending the stadium, to support us during the away match in Singapore. The second game will be another chance to gain an advantage. I invite fans to cheer for us strongly because I believe the more pressure we put on our opponents, the better it will be for our national team."
