Phumirapee Siribunyakul, goalkeeper for the Thailand U20 national team, wants to focus on each game to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup and progress to the U-20 World Cup.
On 16 August 2026, the Thailand men's U20 national football team reported for training to prepare for the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers, scheduled from 31 August to 6 September 2026 in Chonburi Province, Thailand, under the leadership of head coach Jakrapan Panpi.
During this reporting, the players moved to Pattana Sports Resort in Chonburi Province for immediate training, with two players, Wichian Inaram and Natthakit Phosri, joining later.
The team has two upcoming friendly matches: against Iran U20 at Chonburi Stadium on 19 August 2026, and another friendly match (details to be announced). The squad will be cut to 23 players on 29 August 2026 before the qualifiers begin.
Phumirapee Siribunyakul, Thailand U20 goalkeeper, shared, "Training with several teams in the J League showed me the level of professionalism and areas I need to improve. I want to apply this experience to the Thai national team and hope to help lead the team to the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup."
