In the first leg on Saturday, 15 Aug 2026 GMT+7, Thailand won away 3-1, giving the "War Elephants" a significant advantage before the second match.
In the first half, at the 45th minute, Singapore took the lead 1-0 against Thailand from a long ball that goalkeeper Kampol Pathomakkakul came out to intercept but it fell to Haris Stewart, who scored with a shot past the keeper, ending the half with that score.
In the second half, at the 62nd minute, Thailand earned a penalty after Wanchai Jarunongkran was fouled by Raihan Stewart. Kakhana Kamyok took the penalty and scored, leveling the game 1-1, with an aggregate score of 4-2 in favor of Thailand.
At the 65th minute, Singapore regained the lead 2-1 when Raihan Stewart collected a loose ball and fired it in.
The match ended with Thailand losing 1-2 at home to Singapore, but the aggregate score over two legs was 4-3, allowing the "War Elephants" to advance to the 2026 ASEAN Cup final, where they will face the winner between Vietnam and Malaysia.
