Jirapong Chaemsakul revealed the areas the Thailand U-20 team must improve before facing Iraq in the third match of Group F in the 2027 AFC U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
On 4 Sep 2026 GMT+7, Jirapong Chaemsakul disclosed the points that the 'War Elephants' Thailand U-20 national team, led by 'Coach Bo' Jakkraphan Panpi, must address before their third Group F match against Iraq in the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
After winning their first two matches against UAE and Turkmenistan, the Thailand U20 team stands strong, while Iraq has 3 points. Thailand scheduled a swimming session to aid players' physical recovery.
Jirapong Chaemsakul, Thailand U-20 defender, said, "I'm satisfied with earning six points from the first two games, but the pressure remains. Our defense still needs improvement, especially in aerial duels, as we face physically strong teams."
"Coach Bo keeps emphasizing not to allow easy crosses or, if crosses come in, to mark tightly. Our team coordination is good because we've known each other since childhood. We will give our best against Iraq. Everyone, please support and cheer for us," he added.
The Thailand U-20 men's national team will face Iraq in their third match of the AFC U20 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers at Chonburi Stadium, kicking off at 19:30 GMT+7.
