Eager to Serve the Nation: Kritpak Reveals Thai National Team's Goals Ahead of Asian Games 2026 Clash with Hong Kong
On 18 Sep 2026 at 14:30 Thailand time, at Itsutsugaoka Sports Square in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the Thailand men's football team for the 2026 Asian Games held another training session to prepare for their next Group A match against Hong Kong.
In their first game, Thailand defeated Kyrgyzstan 3-2, while Hong Kong lost to Japan 0-2. This training session focused on reviewing concepts and correcting mistakes from the first match. Recently, midfielder Kritpak Saengsawat, who transferred from Muangthong United to BG Pathum United, joined the team and immediately participated in training.
Before training, Kritpak Saengsawat, midfielder for Thailand's 2026 Asian Games team, said, “My physical condition is okay, though a bit tired from traveling. I watched the first game against Kyrgyzstan and want to commend everyone on the team for helping secure the win.”
“Personally, I’m very ready. I rushed here as soon as possible. I am very eager to play for Thailand because I have always wanted to represent the national team. Everyone shares the same goal against Hong Kong: to get three points to advance to the next round.”
“Now I have to adapt to my teammates as quickly as possible. I think with one or two more days, we will understand each other better. Our goal is to advance as far as possible. I ask the fans to support us.”
The Thailand men's national football team will face Hong Kong in their second Group A match of the 2026 Asian Games at Toyota Stadium, Aichi, Japan, on Sunday, 20 Sep 2026 at 14:00 Thailand time. The match will be broadcast live on Thairath TV Channel 32 and AIS PLAY application.
