"Attapol" focuses on one key goal before Thailand's national team faces Japan for the group championship at the 2026 Asian Games football tournament.
On 23 September 2026, Attapol Sangthong, right back of Thailand's Asian Games football team, gave an interview ahead of their final Group A match against Japan at 17:30 today.
After two matches, Thailand defeated Kyrgyzstan 3-2 and Hong Kong 5-1, securing qualification, as has Japan. However, this match will decide the Group A champion, which will affect opponents and the knockout stage path.
Attapol Sangthong spoke about Thailand's performance at the 2026 Asian Games before facing Japan, the one-time Asian Games gold medalist: "The last two games have been good for us, but there are mistakes we need to fix before facing Japan. This is an important match, so our goal is to win."
