What Does Hudson Say? "Lee Soh" Speaks Frankly on "Ben Davis" Missing Thailand National Team for King's Cup Despite Chanathip's Absence (Video)
On 3 Nov 2026, Lee Soh Thirathep Winothai expressed his thoughts on a lingering issue during a live broadcast on Thairath Sport's YouTube channel, following Anthony Hudson's announcement of Thailand's national team roster for the 2026 King's Cup in Sisaket province, which notably excluded Benjamin Davis.
Although this Thailand squad lacks J. Chanathip Songkrasin, the key midfielder from BG Pathum United who recently recovered from injury but is not yet at full fitness, the opportunity still did not come for Benjamin Davis, who has been performing well with Uthai Thani FC.
This season, Benjamin Davis has started all 8 matches for Uthai Thani FC across all competitions (7 Thai League matches and 1 Chang FA Cup match), scoring 3 goals and providing 4 assists.
On this matter, Lee Soh Thirathep Winothai questioned Anthony Hudson's decision not to call up Ben Davis for the 2026 King's Cup Thailand squad, saying, "If it's really about not liking his playing style, that can be said. Perhaps his style and Hudson's methods don't align. But if you say that, it closes the door for him, so I won't say it."
"Or maybe he thinks that Khana Kamyok has better potential than Ben recently, or something like that. But it depends on the coach; we can't think for him. If you ask me, the player with the best performance at that moment should be selected."
