Clear Decision by Hudson After Announcing Thailand National Team for Kings Cup 2026

Clear decision by "Hudson" after announcing the Thailand national team roster for King's Cup 2026.

On 3 November 2026, Anthony Hudson, head coach of the Thailand national team, revealed the goals following the announcement of the 23-man squad for the 52nd King's Cup football tournament, to be held in Sisaket Province from 12-17 November 2026.

Hudson said, "We are very excited to go to Sisaket because it is very important for us as a national team to travel and compete across the country. Also, I have heard many great stories about the fans there."

"For myself, and I know every player feels the same, we can’t wait to play in front of those fans. So we are very excited to be there."

"I have confidence in every player in this squad. I believe we are good enough to perform and achieve our objectives in this camp. But I think I already said after the Asian Cup that our plan, which I consider solid and strong, is to maintain player structure continuously from the last tournament."

"However, sometimes plans need to be adjusted, and we just adapt to the situation. But we have a good squad; this is a strong team."

"We have one goal: we want to win this tournament, and that is the only thing I focus on. I think it’s been nearly three years since Thailand last won a trophy; almost three years without holding a cup, and I think that’s too long for Thailand."

"Because of that, I can firmly say that everyone reporting to camp next Monday will be very clear about our goal, and we want to lift the trophy at the end of this camp."

"I believe at the national football level, you must respect all opponents. We have analyzed every team thoroughly. What I want to do is, since I believe this squad is strong and balanced enough, and also to assist the clubs and take care of the players,"

"I want to manage and balance the players across both games to ensure that when we reach the final—which I say with respect to all opponents—we enter the second match with the freshest and most ready players. But it will remain consistent."

"When we start camp on Monday, I think most of the focus will be on what we need to do. Players will understand the opponents’ style, both defense and attack, but initially, the camp will focus primarily on what we need to do in the first game."
