It's gone too far. "Hudson," the Thai national team coach, reveals receiving threatening messages targeting him and his children from fans.
On 3 Nov 2026 GMT+7, Anthony Hudson, the English head coach of the Thai national team, posted on his personal Instagram story that a fan had sent threatening messages to him and his family after the announcement of the Thai national squad for the 52nd King's Cup tournament in Sisaket Province, scheduled from 12 to 17 Nov 2026.
The threatening messages sent to Anthony Hudson via his private social media read as follows:
"Thai people hate liars."
"Respectfully, sir, I am just speaking the truth on behalf of all the fans."
"If what you say about Ben (Benjamin Davis) is true, then we all can respect you as well."
"I am talking about the truth you must face to start taking action."
"We have only met liars since birth."
"We don't want that anymore."
"Haha, a big club calls you up but your brain wasn't called."
"Watch yourself; we will be waiting for you at every hotel."
"Beware of our bullets."
"Good luck."
"You damn coach."
"We will take your children's lives."
So far, the exact reason has not been disclosed, but the threats are believed to stem from dissatisfaction following the announcement of the Thai national team roster for the 2026 King's Cup, which included several high-performing players who were not selected, such as Benjamin Davis.
