
"Madame Pang," President of the Football Association of Thailand, has made a recent statement after the Thai women's football team lost on penalties to the Philippines, ending their five-title streak.
On 15 Dec 2025 GMT+7, “Madame Pang” Nualphan Lamsam, President of the Football Association of Thailand, commented following the “Chaba Kaew” Thai women's national football team's penalty shootout loss 2-4 to the Philippines after a 1-1 draw in regular time.
This defeat means the Thai women's football team, five-time SEA Games champions, will miss out on a fifth consecutive title, their last championship having been in 2013.
Madame Pang briefly motivated the team after the loss by saying, “We must keep fighting.”
In their next match, the Thai women's national football team will compete for the bronze medal at the 33rd SEA Games against Indonesia at Chonburi Stadium on 17 December 2025 GMT+7 at 3:30 PM.
