"Leesaw" Theerathep Winothai, former Thai national team striker, directly criticized the "delete post–apologize as a formula" response, condemning the thoughtless insults made in the original post.
On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, "Jo 5 Yards" Sarayut Chaikamdee, former Thai national team striker, posted a brief but sharp comment after Thailand lost the men's football championship at the 2025 SEA Games. Thailand lost 2-3 to Vietnam despite leading 2-0. He wrote, "Allow me to say this about coaching—like many coaches who never got such opportunities—utterly stupid!!"
Then, "Leesaw" Theerathep Winothai posted a message saying, "Let's encourage each other; why insult? You are a former national team player too. Analyze and critique, but don't insult. When you played, you didn’t like being insulted either. Show some respect; they are all your seniors."
Shortly after, Jo 5 Yards posted an apology, saying, "I apologize. I will always support the Thai national team."
Most recently,Leesawquickly posted again, saying, "Once they realized, they deleted the post and apologized as usual, but when insulting, they didn’t think. Let’s respect each other—seniors and juniors alike. Everyone supports the national team."
The Thai national team has now missed the SEA Games championship four times in a row, with their last title dating back to 2017 when Malaysia hosted the tournament.
