Iklas Sanron Urges Thailand U23 Team to Quickly Harmonize for Asian Championship Goal

Iklas Sanron, winger for the Thailand U23 national team, urged his teammates to quickly harmonize in order to achieve their goal at the Asian Football Championship.

On 29 December 2025 at 16:30 GMT+7, at the Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy stadium, the Thailand men's U23 football team held their first training session to prepare for the final round of the U23 Asian Football Championship in Saudi Arabia.

This training session involved 22 athletes, focusing on physical recovery and reviewing concepts and drills practiced in previous sessions.

Before training, Iklas Sanron, winger of the Thailand U23 national team, said, “I have to learn alongside the younger and older new players. We need to study each other. I believe the quality of our opponents this time will be better than before, but the matches should be competitive. We must strive to adapt to one another. I think we can compete well against other teams because I believe everyone on the Thailand national team is ready to give their all. Personally, if given the chance, I will do my utmost to help the team.”

“My goal, if given the opportunity, is to help the team reach the quarterfinals. I think we need to consider the players carefully because there are many new faces, so we must learn and adjust to the coach’s tactics. For me, this year has exceeded my expectations; it is my first year in the national team. I joined unexpectedly and have continued since. This year is the best so far, having been called up to both the Thailand U23 and the senior national teams.”

Regarding the 2026 U23 Asian Football Championship final round in Saudi Arabia from 7-25 January 2026, Thailand is placed in Group D along with Iraq, Australia, and China. The champions and runners-up from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
