Kiattisak Senamuang analyzes ahead of the match between the Thailand national team and Turkmenistan in the decisive final 2027 Asian Cup qualifier.
On 12 March 2026, Kiattisak Senamuang, former coach of the Thai "War Elephants" national team, shared his football analysis on the Thairath Cheer Thailand program by Thairath Sport regarding the upcoming match where Thailand will host Turkmenistan at Rajamangala Stadium in the final 2027 Asian Cup qualifying match on 31 March.
Before the game, the Thai "War Elephants" under English coach Anthony Hudson are in a position where they must win their last match against Turkmenistan to secure a spot in the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Recently, Kiattisak Senamuang stated, "Turkmenistan will likely play a tight defensive game, relying on set pieces and seeking to draw fouls. As we said, the opponent will defend and counterattack. We have to press forward aggressively to get the three points. We won't play defensively; if they defend, we'll immediately attack. Turkmenistan will probably try to buy time—they need a draw to advance."
"During the match, they might frequently try to draw fouls to disrupt our rhythm. But we must be cautious on attacking moves as we could be vulnerable to counterattacks. Our loss last time partly involved playing on artificial turf, which may have caused mistakes in movement. However, we won't focus on that as the main reason for the loss. Many factors are now in our favor. If we score early, we can substitute anyone; if late, substitutions may be difficult and not part of the plan."
