On 31 Mar 2026 GMT+7, during the third match of the CFA Team China International Youth Tournament Xi'an 2026 in China, the “War Elephants,” Thailand's U23 national football team, led by Coach Wang Thawatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul, faced the “Red Falcons,” North Korea's U23 national football team.
The result saw Thailand’s U23 team lose 1-3 to North Korea’s U23 team. Thailand’s goal was scored by Jehanafi Mama in the 52nd minute, while North Korea’s goals came from An Kyong Ung in the 19th minute, Il Song Ri in the 28th, and Chu Kuk in the 86th minute.
This leaves the Thailand U23 team waiting on the outcome of the match between China U23 and Vietnam U23 to determine their final standing in the tournament.
