Teerathon Bunmathan, a Thai national team footballer, has confidently predicted the champion of this season's English Premier League after helping the War Elephants reach the final round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Following Thailand's narrow 2-1 win over Turkmenistan, the team earned 15 points, securing the top spot in Group D of the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers and becoming one of the 24 teams to advance to the final tournament in Saudi Arabia.
Recently, Teerathon Bunmathan, who provided two assists in the game, shared his happiness about helping the team secure the victory and responded to questions regarding the English Premier League champion this season.
"I feel happy to have secured a win for the fans and the Thailand national team. The important thing is that we won today. If the match had ended in a draw, the atmosphere wouldn't be like this," he said.
"I'm an Arsenal fan, but I don't watch football that much. When asked if they will be champions, absolutely yes!"
