
The Thailand national team is in Pot 3 for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 draw in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 9 May.
On 15 April 2026, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will hold the draw ceremony for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 9 May 2026. The tournament will take place in Saudi Arabia from 7 January to 5 February 2027, featuring 16 teams in the final stage.
The pot allocations are arranged according to the FIFA rankings announced on 1 April 2026.
Pot 1: Saudi Arabia (host), Japan, South Korea, Iran, Australia, Uzbekistan.
Pot 2: Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, UAE, Oman, Syria.
Pot 3: Bahrain, Thailand, China, Palestine, Vietnam, Tajikistan.
Pot 4: Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Kuwait, Singapore, North Korea, (Lebanon or Yemen).
The competition will be split into 6 groups of 4 teams each, playing round-robin matches. The group winners, runners-up, and the four best third-placed teams across the groups will advance to the knockout stage. The live broadcast link for the draw will be announced later.
