Theerapat Shares New Goals After First Call-Up to Thailands Senior National Football Team

"Theerapat" Shares New Goals After First Call-Up to Thailand's Senior National Football Team

On 19 May 2026, Theerapat Prueathong confirmed that being called up to Thailand's senior national team fulfills his highest dream, but he sees it only as the beginning because he wants to go further.

Theerapat has stood out with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, having played 9 matches in the special J.League season, scoring 1 goal and assisting 4 times. The team currently ranks second in their zone, and he received his first senior national team call-up for the FIFA match days in June 2026, when Thailand will play friendlies against Kuwait and China.

"I'm very happy to be selected for Thailand's senior team because it's my dream. I don't know if it came quickly, but I have worked hard to perform well. Regarding age, I don't think it matters; we just have to prove ourselves on the field," Theerapat said.

"My expectations for this camp aren't high, just to give my best. If I get the chance, I must take it. Coming to Japan, having P'Check Supachok Sarachat here helped me adapt easier than going somewhere with no Thai people. Also, P'Mew (Naris Champalee) is an interpreter who advises me both on and off the field, taking care of me and making everything easier. We talk a lot, which helps me feel relaxed and comfortable."

"I believe there are many areas I still need to improve. I think I haven't performed well enough yet, and after every match, I review my play to find mistakes. Everything feels like a dream now—playing in Japan and being called up to the Thai national team. But since I'm currently playing in J2, I see this as just the beginning. I want to reach the J.League level. My hunger remains strong, and my main focus is to keep playing football."

"I would like to ask all fans to support me, including all Thai people living in Japan. Thank you for your support and encouragement so far."
