Teerasil Speaks Honestly After Thailand National Team Draws with Kuwait in Latest Match

Teerasil Dangda opened up after the Thailand national team was pegged back by Kuwait to draw in a FIFA Day friendly match.

Following the "War Elephants" Thailand national team’s 2-2 draw against Kuwait in the FIFA Day friendly, despite taking a two-goal lead, they unfortunately were caught and held to a draw.

Teerasil Dangda, Thailand’s national team striker, said, “It’s regrettable. We performed well in the first half and scored two goals to take the lead, but we couldn’t maintain the 2-0 score. In the end, it was a 2-2 draw, which is disappointing.”

“We have to fix everything. Anything that can be improved, we must strive to do better. Fortunately, today we saw our mistakes so we can go back and correct them.”

Meanwhile, Teeraphat Prueathong, an attacker from Consadole Sapporo, said, “I’m happy to have had the opportunity to play today, but it’s disappointing that we couldn’t secure a win. Personally, I need to improve many aspects, including my timing and running; things are still inconsistent.”

The next match for the Thailand national team will be against China, ranked 94th in the world, at the Jinhua Sports Center on 9 June 2026 at 18:35 Thai time. It will be broadcast live on Thairath TV Channel 32, www.thairath.co.th/tv/live, Facebook: Thairath TV and Thairath Sport, and YouTube: Thairath Sport.
