On 10 June 2026 GMT+7, "Coach Bo" Jakraphan Panpi, head coach of Thailand's U-19 national football team, pointed out the strengths of Cambodia's U-19 team ahead of their meeting in the 2026 ASEAN U-19 Boys' Championship semifinals on 11 June.
Coach Bo Jakraphan Panpi said, "We have been preparing since training camp in Thailand. In tournaments like this, we must ensure the players are fully ready both physically and mentally to perform well in the semifinals. I also congratulate Cambodia for reaching the semifinals."
"Cambodia's players have shown great determination. From what I've seen, they are a strong team coached by a Japanese coach who has structured their system well. I believe every team in the semifinals is strong, and we will not underestimate any opponent at any stage to achieve our best results."
"Before coming to Indonesia, our initial goal was to reach the semifinals. Now that we've made it, our new target is to reach the final. Whoever we face in the final will be a tough challenge. We cannot avoid any opponent. The host, Indonesia, is especially strong at home. We will focus on our gameplay. Facing any team will be equally demanding."
Meanwhile, Pichaya Kongsri said, "Everyone on the team is very prepared. We encourage each other, with support from the coaching staff and Thai fans, aiming to reach the final as our goal."
The "War Elephants," Thailand's U-19 national team, will face Cambodia in the 2026 ASEAN U-19 Championship semifinals at Sumatra Utara Main Stadium, Indonesia, on 11 June 2026 at 16:00 GMT+7.
