After the game, goalkeeper Saranon Anuin admitted that the Chinese team’s tall and strong physical presence made it difficult for the War Elephants players, but he was glad that everyone worked together to secure the draw.
“I’m happy with the good result. Their forwards are both strong and tall, which made our work difficult, and they pressed high, too. But I’m glad everyone helped each other and we managed to keep the result, without conceding a goal. Thanks to my teammates and the coaching staff for their support,” he said.
“The weather wasn’t too cold, just cool enough, which helped us not get tired and allowed us to keep running. It had a positive effect on us.”
