Chawalwit Saelao, the only player from "Thai League 3," has been named to the senior Thailand national football team for the "ASEAN Cup 2026."
On 11 Jul 2026 GMT+7, Chawalwit Saelao admitted that he now has to work harder after becoming an inspiration to many players in the lower leagues by being the only Thai League 3 player selected for the senior Thailand national team for the ASEAN Cup 2026.
Chawalwit Saelao said, "I admit that I am very happy to be selected for the senior Thailand national team. I will try to learn from the senior players to develop myself as much as possible. I acknowledge that being part of the senior national team seemed distant before since I am currently playing only at Thai League 3 level. I also see many areas I need to improve, especially my physical condition and decision-making, where I still make mistakes."
"When I learned about my selection for the senior national team, I immediately told my parents. They told me to give it my all. This opportunity is different from my previous call-ups to the youth national teams. I have already started physical preparation with my club’s coach through personal training since the club preseason hasn't started yet. I want to be as physically ready as possible before joining the national team camp. At the same time, I have discussed mental and physical preparation with my teacher and P'Ton Theerasilp Phaepimai."
"I believe this national team call-up will inspire many players in the lower leagues. Now that I have this chance, I must do my best and prove that if we are truly dedicated, the rewards will follow. Lastly, I ask football fans to support the Thailand national team."
