Pansa Hemviboon and Worachit Kanitsribampen have revealed the latest readiness of the Thailand national team ahead of their second group stage match against Malaysia in the ASEAN Cup 2026.
On 28 July 2026 at 16:00, at BGTC 3 Stadium in Pathum Thani province, the Thailand men's national football team continued their training to prepare for the upcoming ASEAN Cup 2026 group stage match in Group B. The training session was divided into two parts: understanding team coordination followed by an evening fitness session focusing on tactical details for the next game.
Before training, Thailand national team defender Pansa Hemviboon said, “Everyone is ready now as no one is injured. After our last game, we fully recovered. Malaysia is a strong team with high standards, and we must watch out for their forwards.”
“Playing at home, I believe many fans will come to support us and encourage the team while creating pressure on our opponents. We must strive to beat Malaysia to advance to the next round.”
Thailand national team midfielder Worachit Kanitsribampen stated, “Everyone’s fitness is steadily improving. Today, we trained both morning and evening. The coach is focusing on our physical condition and tactics for facing Malaysia. We must be careful of their quick counterattacks, as they can rapidly switch from defense to offense. We need to be cautious because they execute this well, especially their wingers and forwards.”
“Our teamwork is good, and everyone has quality. We aim to collect three points from the game against Laos and will try to do the same against Malaysia. Personally, I don’t have special advice because the players are already capable. We encourage them to stay focused, follow the coach’s tactics, and everyone has responded well to the coach’s guidance.”
“The coach always stresses not to underestimate the opponent. Our game against Laos was the first and not an easy match, but we met our goals. For the match against Malaysia, especially playing at home, the only option is to win. If we win the next two matches, we have a chance to top the group. We must secure three points in this game. Continuous travel affects us, but before this game, we had plenty of rest and are fresh. We must prepare well. We invite fans to come and cheer us on as their support is a big motivation.
