Clear Goals: Warachit Shares Objectives Before Thailand National Team Faces Singapore in 2026 ASEAN Cup Semifinals, ASEAN Cup 2026 Semifinal
On 10 August 2026 at 15:30, at BGTC 3 in Pathum Thani province, the Thailand national team resumed training to prepare for their first-leg semifinal match in the 2026 ASEAN Football Championship against Singapore.
Before this session, heavy rain caused a 30-minute delay. The training focused mainly on physical recovery and fitness, following a one-day rest granted by coach Anthony Hudson. They began working on tactical concepts during a one-hour session.
Warachit Kanitsribampen, midfielder of the Thailand national team, said, "In the game against Myanmar, we got a good result, earning three points and topping the group to reach the semifinals. Personally, I scored a penalty goal. We still need to keep adjusting our gameplay."
"Regarding the penalty-taking responsibility, the senior players chose me because during practice before the match, they saw my readiness and decided I should take on the duty."
Warachit also spoke about Singapore, who eliminated Indonesia from Group A to reach the semifinals: "The game against Singapore will be different from previous encounters because we will be playing away."
"Singapore has several players who have played in Thailand. I think they know our players well. Lately, facing them has been tough; winning against them has become harder. I believe this game will definitely not be easy. We are still taking it one match at a time."
"We definitely want to reach the final. We want to win both matches. The first leg away, we must win. If we win the away game, it will be easier when we return to play at home."
