Singapore Coach Decides After Loss to Thailand in 2026 ASEAN Cup Semifinals

The Singapore coach has made a decision after losing to the Thailand national team in the 2026 ASEAN Cup semifinals.

The "Singapore coach" refuses to give up!!! He aims to defeat the "Thailand national team" on their home ground and stage a comeback to reach the 2026 ASEAN Cup final.

Kevin Lee, head coach of the Singapore national team, stated he has not given up and aims to win an away match against Thailand in the second leg of the 2026 ASEAN Cup semifinals after a 1-3 home defeat last Saturday.

Kevin Lee said after the game, “We put ourselves in difficult situations unnecessarily several times, giving them an advantage. However, the fans have not abandoned us, so we must not abandon ourselves either.”

“If we leave the field thinking it’s over, no matter what strategy we use, there will be no chance.”

“But we talked as a group. I saw the looks and determination in the players’ eyes, and you know they are very determined to go out and fight on.”

This defeat increased Singapore’s losing streak against Thailand to 11 matches, with their last victory over the War Elephants coming in the 2012 ASEAN Championship final.

Next, Singapore will play the second leg of the 2026 ASEAN Cup semifinals, visiting the Thailand national team at Rajamangala National Stadium on 18 August 2026 at 20:00 GMT+7.
