JAS has clearly responded regarding the live broadcast rights for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.
Too expensive! JAS may not purchase the live broadcast rights for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.
Dr. Sorach Asawaprapha, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Jasmine International Public Company Limited (JAS), stated that the company might not acquire the live broadcast rights for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 football tournament.
When asked about this, Dr. Sorach replied, "FIFA did offer a price, but to be honest, it was very steep. When we negotiated the World Cup broadcasting rights, this tournament was not included in the package we purchased. We questioned them about it, and they confirmed it was not included."
The FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026, which will be held for the first time, will be divided into two divisions: Division 1 matches will take place in Indonesia, and Division 2 matches will be held in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
The Thailand national team is in Division 1, Group B, competing alongside Vietnam, Pakistan, and the Philippines.
The tournament is scheduled from 24 September to 3 October 2026.
