Live Score: Thai Blind Football Team Leads Before Losing to Iran, Misses Second Medal at 2026 Asian Para Games

Live score: The Thai blind football team led before losing to Iran, missing out on their second medal at the 2026 Asian Para Games.

On 23 October 2026, in the bronze medal match of the blind football event at the 5th Asian Para Games (Aichi–Nagoya 2026) held at Terraspo Tsuruma Stadium in Japan, the Thai national team faced Iran.

These teams had met earlier in the group stage, where Thailand won 1-0 thanks to a winning goal by Kittikorn Buadee in the 15th minute.

However, in this match, Iran avenged their earlier loss. Although Kittikorn Buadee once again dribbled past defenders to score a long-range goal giving Thailand a 1-0 lead in the 9th minute, Iran responded with two quick goals from Hossein Rajabpour in the 11th minute and Morteza Karimi in the 13th minute.

The match ended with Iran beating Thailand 2-1, causing the Thai men's blind football team to narrowly miss winning their second consecutive Asian Para Games bronze medal after their first bronze at the Hangzhou 2022 Games.

Meanwhile, Iran has won medals at all four Asian Para Games in which blind football has been contested (2010 silver, 2014 gold, 2022 silver).

*Note: Blind football was not contested at the 2018 Asian Para Games.
