
BG Pathum United showed strong form by hosting and thrashing Muangthong United 3-0, with outstanding performances from Chanathip Songkrasin and Tomoyuki Doi, securing important three points in Thai League 1.
On 14 Dec 2025 GMT+7, BG Pathum United hosted Muangthong United in the BYD Sea Lion Six League 2025-26. The home side regained confidence after an away win against Nakhon Ratchasima Mazda FC in the previous match. Key players Sarach Yooyen, Chanathip Songkrasin, and Tomoyuki Doi started the match.
Just 6 minutes into the game, BG had an early chance when Kakhana Kamyok crossed into the center for Melvin Lorensen to shoot close-range, but he did not connect well and the ball narrowly missed the post.

At the 65th minute, BG scored their third goal when Chanathip threaded a pass through to Tomoyuki Doi, who broke through the defense and calmly finished to make it 3-0. He nearly had a chance for a hat-trick.
In the final minutes, BG still had scoring opportunities from Melvin Lorensen and Siwakorn Polsan, but both attempts were stopped by Muangthong goalkeeper Kornkot Pipatnadda.
The match ended with BG Pathum United defeating Muangthong United 3-0 at home, increasing their points to 25 and placing 5th in the standings. Muangthong remains at 13 points in 13th place, only 2 points above the relegation zone.
